back in dc

plane-ridden rest day in spite of the lack of sleep i got the night before. a nice feels-like-20° F bout of wind welcomed me back to the cold staid reality of the east coast, but luckily it came with a friend who was generous enough to help me survive my trip out of IAD.

otherwise probably would've been tough hauling all my bags back to my apartment through all the shuttle/metro transfers. yes, even my superawesome chrome bag weighed enough to almost give me a hard time. stupid textbooks. it's still the most comfortable messenger bag ever. now i know it's doable if i ever need to drag more books with me to campus.


lots of cold, crazy entitled drivers and no mountains anymore. it'll be back to spinning until the spring.

i haven't really explored the serious cycling options of the east coast either, so i'm looking forward to learning the roads here when the race season begins. the plan for now is to make time for rides/races with the georgetown cycling team, or maybe a local club. i've also got a 4k friend at SAIS who plans on racing with hopkins. let's see if i can keep up with him too.
