looking more roadie

ever since i began riding, i never saw the need to get real road shoes. marc managed to convert me by surprising me with a pair.

the cleats have to be right at the balls of the feet, which requires some slight measuring during installation.
road shoes are also lighter, more narrow and allow for ventilation.

they look less clunky, feel less clunky and pretty much fuse the feet with the bike. all the better to power through climbs and sprints!

not to mention the white pair makes the entire getup look more sleek. when you find the shoes browned with dirt, you can be proud that you've worked it hard.

now i can sprint away from giant floating octopi without worrying about accidentally slipping out of my shoes. though i'll have to be more careful about clipping out in time during stops to prevent falling over.

  2. Didn't know you use eggbeaters too. I'm still rocking those, although one of my riding buddies says in his first crit he managed to pop out of them twice during the sprints. He's now looking for other pedals ;)
