training incentive
hooray for team discounts. alex (the team president) handed me my new lazer helmet during the richmond race. it goes quite well with the gtown kit, which i'm still waiting on.
but after last weekend's race in williamsburg, i decided i still haven't earned the right to wear such a nice helmet. have to do some real training now if i want to stop getting dropped.

sick helmet!
ReplyDeleteYou've probably heard it already, but hearsay has it that helmet visors are "dangerous". I was riding once with my old green helmet when some rider pedaled up beside me and anecdotally said that the visor can snap off in a crash and scratch. So I took off the plastic visor and proceeded to crack the helmet in that craseh two weeks later, sans visor, so I can't confirm that urban myth:)
